Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association is an organization that encompasses the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Greater Community consisting of alumni associations, alumni, current students, faculty and staff members. It is engaged in building a close network through a variety of programs and the media in cooperation with the University.
On July 2, 2021, the Constitution of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association (“UTAA”) was amended to clearly state “to support the University of Tokyo” in the purpose and the business of UTAA and to create an article on Membership Fees (one-time payment of 10,000 yen by each Member) for the financial independence of UTAA.

History

1. The Tokyo Daigaku Gakuyukai was founded in October 2004 with the mission of connecting the numerous active alumni associations formed based on classes, departments, regional association, shared interest etc. of the University of Tokyo (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) together as partners in cooperation with the University of Tokyo.
2. The Tokyo Daigaku Gakuyukai was reorganized as Akamon Gakuyukai (Akamonkai), a membership style Â鶹ÊÓƵ Greater Community in April 2008, and since then it has become more active in all of its activities.
3. In April 2014, the Akamon Gakuyukai was reorganized as the Tokyo Alumni Association with a view to further develop a networking platform.
