Â鶹ÊÓƵ Global Unit Courses (Â鶹ÊÓƵ GUC) is a short-term intensive program offered by the Center for Global Education (GlobE). This program, where Â鶹ÊÓƵ faculty conducts lectures exclusively in English, is open to exceptional students worldwide, including those from Â鶹ÊÓƵ at a special rate. Joining Â鶹ÊÓƵ GUC allows students to learn in an English environment, interact with students from around the world on a familiar campus, and experience a cost-friendly study opportunity similar to studying abroad while staying in Tokyo. Participants will be awarded "Global Units" (*), and a certificate with a grade for each course will be issued by GlobE.

As Â鶹ÊÓƵ GUC is operated independently from the University of Tokyo’s regular degree courses, Â鶹ÊÓƵ students are required to follow the same application procedures and comply with the same requirements as students from overseas universities. Through not only the courses themselves but also the participation process, students can gain an experience similar to studying at an overseas university.

(*) Global Units, unlike the regular units offered by faculties and graduate schools, cannot be counted toward graduation requirements.
